I have to agree with Dan….weekends are too short!
On Saturday morning I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Scott B. Deutschman Run/Walk. It was a race downtown to raise money for the American Heart Association in honor of Scott Deutschman who died of a massive heart attach at the age of 31. I only helped out so that I could get some extra credit for my classes. But I’m so glad that I volunteered. I forgot how much I enjoy working events like that. In the spring there will be lots of similar events….especially Relay for Life. I hope I get to help out with some of them as well.
The wonderful peeps in my small group want to participate in the Baltimore Marathon. I highly doubt we will run a full marathon, but the 5k race would be fun to do together.

I was in the relay for life a few years ago with my kiddies and it was sooo cool!! It was funny cuz we decorated our site with Pink Flamingos we made for a fundraiser at church and it poured that night so we woke up in a soaking tent that was falling on us and drove back to break in to my place after stopping at DD’s and we hung out all night…but during the luminary service I felt dumb cuz since I was cheap and didn’t have $$ for them, I got what I defined as luminaries from my carny brother (glow necklaces) so when everyone pulled out their candles in bags, we had our glow jewelry…embarassing…
i just now read this comment….LOL. sounds like quite a night!
