You can read Dan’s blog to learn about our weekend affair with Horizon.

A few weeks ago during our own little worship time Dan & I started a collage. Yesterday I finished it up. We wanted the collage to represent our current church life interests. Now we have a little simple pilgrimage collage to act as a visiual reminder of the passions that have been placed in us. I’m sure it will serve as an encouragement when we need it.

Speaking of passions & interests….Dan & I are wanting to experiment with communal living. If you haven’t already, then please read Dan’s blog about communal living….let me know what you think. Do you think that it is something that you could do? Or do you need your own space? I’m not completely sold on the idea. Like, if we did this with another young couple…or even some single people our age, I would be fine. But when I think about living with a family that has kids…..ahh!!! For those of you who know me, you know what I’m talking about. :-) I think communal living could be the coolest thing since sliced bread if we did it with people who are in the same stage of life as us, but I can’t imagine what it would be like otherwise.

So Dan & I have been talking for months about meeting our neighbors and having our neighbors over for dinner/movie/games/etc. But, we have been all talk and no action. I want some action! We complain (to each other) how we dont have any couple friends, yet our apartment complex is full of couples. Is it laziness? Is it fear of rejection? I don’t know what is holding us back, but I hope we do not let it control us for much longer.

Tonite my sister had her bridal shower. I didn’t get to be there with her. I didn’t get to put all the bows on a paper plate and make her wear it as a hat.

Dan & I went to visit Jeff & Mindi in Ohio. I had forgotten what a long drive it is from Maryland to Ohio. About 8 hours. But it was good to see Jeff & Mindi. While we were there Jeff got a tattoo and we adopted a kitty. Yes, you read that correctly, Dan finially gave in and let us have a kitten!!! She is about 10 weeks old and her name is Audrey. You should come over and the adorable kitten that stole Dan’s heart.

So yesterday was one of the worst days I have ever had at work. I almost broke down. At my gym I have been given a small (tiny) management job. For the most part I just keep the fitness schedule straight and try to bring special programs to the gym. Yesterday we were suppose to have a mandatory meeting for all the personal trainers. Only one trainer came. Then one of the older trainers got a little angry with me, claiming that she didn’t know there was a meeting (but I’m sure I mentioned it to her plus I posted it in our office…in 2 places!). Those are just a couple of small things….but all the small things added up yesterday and it was more than overwhelming. I felt so disrespected and unappreciated. I don’t expect people to bow down to me, but I would like to be treated with the same respect I give them. Lately I have been questioning if I am even helpful in this position. I get along really well with my general manager and the membership counselors. But then there are the trainers that are older than me. They are nice women, but I have never felt like they give me any respect as their coordinator. Anyway….I’ll get over it.

It’s been a while since I last blogged. My mom & mama were in town. It was a good visit. I got to show them around some and we did some shopping. I wish we lived closer to my family…….I miss them so much. These weekend visits that we get every month or two are not enough.
Anyway, since they left I’ve been feeling really tired. Yesterday my throat started feeling strange and I developed a fever. So I cancelled all my appointments and came home to sleep all day. Today I woke up feeling refreshed, but not anymore. I’m so tired, my throat is hurting, I’m achy, and my stomach feels weird. :-( So, I’m going to go sleep some more…
