lent
after much thought i have decided not to give anything up for lent. i really wanted to participate in lent by giving something up, but realized that it will probably serve more as a distraction that anything else. so instead of focusing on omitting something from my life i just hope to become more focused and concentrated on Jesus during this time. scott invited us to an ash wednesday service at his mother’s church. it was a very good experience for me, mainly because, i was reminded of my shortcomings, but also of how God sees my heart. i hope those thoughts stay with me throughout this season.
