raleigh
dan & i have talked some about moving this fall. raleigh, nc is one place that we’ve talked about on several occassions. so, today we are going to check out raleigh and see if it is cool enough to handle us living there. neither of us have ever been to downtown raleigh, if you have then feel free to leave comments on some of your favorite places there.

Have a great time! I love Raleigh. If you can go to the 42nd Street Oyster Bar. It is awesome! Plus there are some cool little bars right in the same area.
Plus I don’t know where you are staying but there is a big round hotel in the center of the city within walking distance of the 42nd Street Oyster Bar. It use to be a Holiday Inn (at least it was when I was there and it caught on fire) I don’t know what it is now but it is a nice hotel. Also the Brownstone is another nice hotel but is a little more expensive. The Brownstone is where I stayed when I toured N.C. State when I almost went there.
Plus I heard on the radio this morning that the three best places for your housing dollar are Las Vegas, NV, Alberquerque, NM, and Raleigh, NC.
scott - you know your raleigh stuff! thanks for the info. we’ll definitely check out the bars around 42nd street! thanks! alicia
