Widening in Narrows
Like always, my eating habits had taken a big turn for the worst while visiting my family. This type of eating is great for widening my hips, something that every woman enjoys.
a search for authenticity

I’m going to pick Dan up in Richmond, he is there on business, and then we’re going to Narrows. We’re both excited about going. I can’t wait to see my family, espeically my nephew, and I think Dan is looking forward to relaxing for a few days.
We’ve only met a few times,
but from the introduction I knew we would be kindred spirits.
Life has worn on you, and people were not so kind,
I can see your scars and realize they resemble mine.
Our stories share common themes of neglect and abuse -
innocence and beauty taken away.
But we are both promised healing and restoration,
together, with new life, we will strive to be all that we were intended.
My blog is going to be changing some as it searches for it’s identity. I still want it to place where those who want can keep up with my thrilling life, but I also want to start sharing my writing here, and once we move, I want to display the life of Richmond here.
I may post works in progress here and things that I view as completed, and I’m sure I’ll post words that come to me during all the wonderful emotional rages that every young female experiences. So, be warned, hopefully there will be fairy tales, real-life stories, poems, and much more that will be snapshots of my imagination and attempts to master words. Feel free to comment, relate, and share.
Ok, I’m getting desperate for a temporary summer job. If any of the 4 people who read this know of any temporary opportunities, please let me know.
We are leaving for Richmond this evening, to be there all day tomorrow for our house inspection. We’ll get to spend a good part of the day with an inspector going over every inch of the house. Stay tuned for lots of pictures.
manana vamos tenar una fiesta!!
tomorrow night we are having a party to mark the end of our monday night small group and to celebrate all the exciting things that are going on in our lives. there will be salsa, tacos, margaritas, corona, and lots beans as we say “adios monday night group”.
there’s been a creative bug going around our apartment this weekend. there has been drawing, painting, and collaging (is that a word?). maybe tomorrow there will be some writing….
so, in my previous post i thought iwas quoting from the USDA’s website, but instead i was looking at a spoof. they look identical! can’t believe it took me this long to figure it out.
for those of you who don’t know, the USDA came out with a new food guide pyramid. its kinda neat in that you can enter some information and get your own individualized pyramid and they also make recommendations on exercise. BUT some of the other info is crazy!! here are a couple quotes….
” it’s not what happens to the food before it gets to your table, but simply that you eat substantial servings of all foods”
“Irradiated meat is just as healthy, if not healthier than organic meat — radiation kills bacteria just as effectively as it does people, and saves billions of dollars that would otherwise have to go toward producing cleaner meat and maintaining the health of livestock.”
there is so much wrong with that statement that i dont even know where to begin. i’m in shock that anyone would actually promote that!
today i applied for a very cool job in richmond. it sounds to be exactly the type of job that i was hoping to find!! the title is a physical activity liason with the department of health. prayers would be appreciated.
so, i still haven’t found a summer job. i had an interview this morning, but have decided to turn that opportunity down (not enough hours or $$). i’m considering a temp agency. has anyone out there ever gone through a temp agency for work?
daily online prayer created by Irish Jesuits. check it out.
i want to blog, but don’t know what to say, so be prepared for rambling.
i finished my internship last friday, therefore i am finished with school! yippie! hopefully i’ll have my diploma in a month or so. i’ll let you all know when it arrives so that you can come over and meet this thing that i have been working for years to get. its kinda strange to be done with school. i’m glad that it is over. i want time to explore other things like a grown-up job, writing, living in richmond, etc. but all that doesn’t mean that i haven’t already checked out schools in richmond.
besides finishing school, i am almost done working at Lynne Bricks. ahhhhhhh…..that feels so good to say. but, i can’t enjoy the moment too much, i must find a job to tide me over till we move. i’ve tried the mall and had no luck. i guess my dream of working at the mall will be postponed to another time. i dropped off my resume at a few physical therapy clinics in the area and i have an interview with one of them next week.
dan & i are going to richmond tomorrow and meeting with skip, our real estate agent. i am very excited about looking at houses. i’m a little nervous too. what do i know about buying a house? nothing. if you have suggestions, feel free to leave a comment. i’ve been looking at houses online and i’ve found a few that i hope we get to see tomorrow. one in particular is an old, blue, victorian house.
stay tuned for pictures.
