This is the final week of my temp job. Today is probably the last day that I will be going out into the schools to interview kids. ![]()
Dan & I had a nice weekend. We got to sort through some of our junk, pack, and clean up the apartment some. Though you can’t tell we did any cleaning, the place is looking a little crazy with boxes everywhere.
I can’t believe we only have a couple weeks left before the move. This week we are going to Richmond on Wednesday for the final walk-through. Then on Thursday we go to closing! I really can’t believe all this is happening…..it seems like a dream, except for the packing, that is more like a nightmare.
A very special thanks goes out to Dan and to Paul Dixon for making my blog look even cooler than it already was. Now all I need are some interesting posts.
Over the past couple days I’ve been trying to make my resume look more professional. I haven’t had much luck. Does any know of a good resource for writing a resume?
So, is everyone wondering where Alicia went and why she hasn’t been blogging lately? Well, I’ll tell ya where she went…..she went to work!
This 40 hours a week thing is kicking my butt. Life has been put on hold. No exercise. No writing. Not much reading. How do you people do it? I hope I win the lottery soon because I don’t think I’m cut out for working full-time (or at all!?!?).
Three weeks from now and we will be moving. Yesterday Dan packed the first box (of course it is full of books).
Tomorrow Christina & Ben will become one. Though we can not be with them when it happens, I think we should still celebrate!!! I’ve got champange! Anyone else want to party in honor of Christina & Ben?
I haven’t even been in the schools for one week and I already have a cold. Good thing this is only a temp job.
Tonight we went to Dan’s parent’s house for dinner. After weeks of nagging, Dan finally caved in to sorting through some of the stuff he still has at his parent’s house. So now we have boxes of stuff that is “free to good home”. We have tons of books (including Star Wars, Tom Clancy & Agatha Christie), christian rap & metal music (sorry, first come, first serve basis), and lots of other goodies. There is some stuff that we found that we are keeping. But then there are things that are too good to keep to ourselves, for example, books by Pat Robertson & Dan Quayle.
If you are interested in any of this stuff, then come on by to collect your treasure. However, if nothing here appeals to you, stay tuned, because we have a lot more stuff to get rid of before we move.
Oh, its good to be home. We had fun with Jeff, Mindi, & Gabe, but the car ride was exhausting.
We’re going to visit the Dehring’s for the weekend. I am looking forward to seeing them, eating good food, and playing poker, but I am absolutely dreading the long drive.
