Meeting neighbors, job hunting, & tomorrow
Tonite, after 30 mins of nagging, Dan & I went for a walk. Along the way we met a woman who lives about 3 blocks down from us. She was very nice and told us some very valuable information…..when trash day is. Anyway, she was very friendly and told us to stop by whenever we wanted. Then on our way home we stopped at our next door neighbor’s. Guess what…..its a girl, about my age, who likes good beer. Is she my twin seperated at birth? Probably not, she is super tall & blonde. But anyway, she was really nice and instantly invited us in for a tour of her house, which is also cool like ours. I hope that we will be good neighbors and invited her over soon.
This week I applied for 3 jobs. Two of them are working at a community rec. center in the city, and the other is working at a country club. Two completly different populations. I’d like to try the challenge of the rec. center, but it’s with the city, so that means it could take them a month before they start calling for interviews. I don’t know if I can wait a month. Everyday I add things to my “To Buy For the House” list. If the country club is interested in me they will call me next week for “an appointment”. Not an interview, but “an appointment”. I don’t know how I would like working there. One thing is for sure, I will need to get out my pearls. Every woman I saw was wearing a string of pearls. The receptionist had the biggest string I’ve ever seen. From a distance they would have looked like golf balls.
Anyway, tomorrow I am going to paint our bedroom!!! I’m a little nervous. I haven’t painted in years. I hope I remember how to do it, and what all I need to get at Lowes. I think the color we picked is a little daring, a little bold. I hope we can handle La Fonda Deep Olive Green. I will be sure to keep you posted.

for the bedroom…I recommend putting a swing over the bed and you could decoratively place posts at the foot & head boards just incase you need them for anything…I also like hearts all over the wall like you put for valentines day!
Dag I love good beer. What kind of beer do you like?
I love many different beers, but lately my heart has belonged to Newcastle.
If you like brown ales, which I do, you should try the Legend’s Brown Ale if you haven’t already. It is brewed right across the river on 4th St. at the Legend’s Brewing Company. Plus it tastes amazing.
Definitely sounds like a place (and beer) that I will have to check out!
