First Week

I moved into my new position at work this week. Most of my time was spent meeting with other managers and getting settled with new business cards, company email address, office space, etc. I was a little nervous at the beginning of the week, but as I begin to see how my days will be spent that nervousness is replaced with excitement. I am eager to see the departments running smoothly and to help the trainers excel. As cheesy as it sounds, I am already looking forward to next week!
Anniversary

I wish I was not exhausted, then I could write something wonderful and romantic about celebrating 4 years of marriage to Dan. But, I have a sunburn and I’m falling asleep as I type this, so this is all I got…

Weekend Review & Vacation

The weekend seems to have gone by fast, but we did have fun. Friday night we had Carol Anne & Joe over for dinner. Saturday was spent recovering from the week and going to a party given by one of Dan’s clients. We had fun drinking, visiting with friends, and listening to blue grass. Today has been the laziest day ever. I’ve tried to start a million different chores or projects today, only to change my mind and choose to do nothing at all. I had hopes of painting the kitchen today, weeding the flower beds, and gathering things for our beach trip. However, now my goals for the day are to not eat anymore junk food (which shouldn’t be hard since we ate it all earlier today) and to take a walk, that is, after I wake Dan from his nap.
Our anniversary is on Thursday. Four years! We are going to the beach for a couple days to reflect on how four years has gone by so quickly…….or on how it has only been four years.
