The Only Workwear Trousers You Need For Spring 2023

Welcome to the new era of this fashion blog! I’m a 23-year-old living in London, working a corporate fashion job. I’m trying to navigate the world of workwear and have created a new section of this blog to uncover the best clothes to wear to the office. The first post in this new workwear series is focused on trousers. Trousers are a vital part of workwear that are worn all year round from cold winter days to cold air-conditioned summer days. My office has a ‘smart casual’ dress code. A ‘smart casual’ dress code offers more outfit flexibility than a ‘business professional’ dress code but this flexibility opens the door to more confusion on what to wear to work. When I first started working I wore jeans to the office. After three months of wearing jeans to work I became sick of them and one morning I woke up and put on grey tapered work trousers from Banana Republic. I loved wearing these trousers to work and I felt more confident in the office in my work trousers than I did in my jeans.

This blog post highlights four of my favourite smart casual work trousers that are perfect for spring and summer.

1. Professional Colourful Linen

I recently went into & Other Stories and saw so many cute linen trousers that are perfect for spring and summer. It’s time to put away your black work trousers and experiment with some fun-coloured trousers! Shop the trousers from left to right: Light Blue £95, Light Green £75, Pink £120, Lilac £85

2. Printed Trousers

If you want to elevate your workwear look, check out these professional, printed trousers. When I was searching for work trousers I was really impressed with what Mango had to offer. Shop the trousers from left to right: Flowers £49.99, Blue Satin £49.99, Black Satin £45.99, Blue Linen £49.99, Black Linen £69

3. Tapered Linen Trousers

Wide-leg trousers are a big trend at the moment but, I will always love tapered trousers. These tapered trousers are a little cropped which makes them great for spring and summer. Shop the trousers from left to right: Khaki £128, Pale Blue £128, Oatmeal £128, Mint £168

4. Sustainable Work Trousers

I wanted to incorporate a few sustainable options into my workwear search so these are my favourite trousers from Sezane and Everlane. Shop the trousers from left to right: Dan Trousers £130, Damon Trousers £130, The Way-High Drape £132

This post has inspired me to dream of all the trouser possibilities! I still have some chinos from 2008 that I still wear to work 😳
I obviously need to update because they are also starting to break dow at the cuffs🫤
    Thank you for the inspiration!

I love trousers and these softer colors are speaking to me. It is good to evolve and change. The covid had me wearing always the same old clothes.
