5 Popular, Fashion-Forward Sustainable Bag Brands on the Market

Bag trends come and go, but when you find your perfect bag the two of you are in it for the long haul. If you are on the market for a new bag, make sure to check out sustainable brands. Buying a bag you truly love and use for years is a sustainable practice in itself. Increase sustainability by purchasing from brands that use recycled materials or vegan leathers. In this blog post, I share my top 5 fashionable and sustainable bag brands.

1. Angela Roi

Angela Roi is my favorite small, sustainable bag company on the market. Its bags are some of the cutest on the market and will never go out of style. Angela Roi calls itself “The no-sacrifice fashion brand. Led by poise, purpose, and craftsmanship.” All bags are made from non-animal materials and artisans earn fair wages and work in clean, comfortable factories. Due to technological advances, vegan leather looks identical to real leather and is buttery soft, and durable. Angela Roi bags are a little on the pricy side, but the company offers a one-year warranty where it will repair or replace your bag in an attempt to increase sustainability and decrease waste.

Pixie Mood uses recycled vegan leather, solvent-free vegan leather, and recycled bottle lining on the inside of its bags. Pixie Mood also strives to provide manufacturers with sufficient wages and safe working conditions. My favorite item from Pixie Mood is their cute wallets.

ABLE is a women-run, sustainable company known for its clothing, but it also has a bag line. Most of ABLE’s bags are leather, and if you love that worn-in, laid-back-looking bag, this is the store for you. ABLE states that it uses leather from hides that are a byproduct of the meat industry. It also manufactures small leather goods from the leather scraps left over from its larger bags.

4. Melie Bianco

Melie Bianco is a sustainable accessories brand. It designs luxury products at attainable price tags. Melie Bianco uses PU vegan leather and sustainable manufacturing practices. I love Melie Bianco’s belt bags because they can be worn on the waist or as a crossbody by removing the belt and using the chain strap. A belt bag is perfect for when you are on the go and just want to carry the essentials.
