How to Find the Perfect Wallet to Fit Your Needs

I use my wallet on a daily basis. I grab it and put it in my bag before work, grab it when I need to take the tube, and grab it whenever I need to pay for something. Right now I use a Blue Q Coin purse as my wallet. It is made from 95% post-consumer material and is very cute. These wallets come in different designs and are perfect for fitting a few cards. I have used the coin purse pictured below on the far left as my wallet for years and the plastic is starting to peel off and get caught in the zipper. When I pull my wallet out to pay for things I sometimes think about what makes a good wallet and what my perfect wallet would look like.

This blog post will help you find the perfect wallet for your lifestyle and needs. The first thing you need to ask yourself is what you would like to carry in your wallet. Cards, cash, coins, keys, or a combination? Next, you must ask yourself how and where you will carry your wallet. Does it need to be small enough to fit in your pocket? Does it need to be small enough to fit in your tiny purse? Or do you want something larger that will be easier to find in a large tote bag? Next, you must ask yourself what material you want your wallet to be. A buttery leather wallet may feel nice to touch but if you throw it in a bag every day it may become scuffed and scratched. You may want to opt for a more durable leather. You also need to ask yourself what colour you want your wallet to be. A wallet is a fun way to play around with colour and patterns. The wallet I am currently using always gets compliments because it’s fun and different. You can be bold with your wallet because you will most likely carry it in a bag or in your pocket for the majority of the time. The last thing you must ask yourself when deciding on your perfect wallet is the price of the wallet. Wallets can easily be found at all price points. If you want to buy something from a luxury brand but don’t want to take out a loan to do so a wallet is the perfect purchase. Many luxury brands offer wallets at entry-level price points so you can splurge without it being too painful. A wallet is something you use on a daily basis so the cost per use will become low if you invest in a wallet that you keep for many years.

Industry Secret: If you want to invest in a luxury wallet, find one on a luxury, multi-brand retailer such as Net-a-Porter and wait for a sale, which will happen at least twice a year, or sign up to email lists which usually save you 10-15% off your purchase.
