2023 is the year of the culottes. What are culottes? Culottes are wide-leg, cropped trousers. Culottes are full at the bottom and resemble a midi skirt rather than classic trousers. The first time I heard the word ‘culottes’ was at work when our culottes were selling well. These trousers have been around for many years but have had a resurgence this year and I see them in many high-street retailers. Culottes are perfect to wear on chilly summer days or when transitioning your wardrobe from summer to autumn outfits. Today I went shopping on King’s Road and saw culottes inside Anthropologie which inspired me to write this blog post. Culottes are the new ‘IT’ trousers for women across London.
