Outfits That Will Motivate You to Get Active This Spring

One of my goals for 2022 is to get as close to 10,000 steps in each day. Usually, I alternate between going on a run one day and then a long walk the next day. Now that the weather is consistently staying above 13 degrees centigrade I have noticed an uptick in outdoor runners in London. A few brave the weather in shorts and t-shirts, but the majority are still covering up while running. Working out in a public place as opposed to a home gym made me re-evaluate the need for good activewear. I now understand the people who claim that purchasing new gym clothes inspires you to work out. The last thing I want to think about while I am trying not to die on a run is whether or not my leggings are falling down.

Sweaty Betty is a popular British activewear retailer that has been popping up all over social media to advertise its current sale. This blog post will highlight some activewear brands and will provide outfit inspiration to help you get motivated to get active this spring.

Sustainable Activewear

Pangaia

Pangaia’s activewear is made with BioWick which is a 100% biobased wicking fabric treatment made from micro-algae. The activewear is also treated with PPRMINT which is a plant-based treatment with peppermint oil that gives the fabric an antibacterial effect.

Sports Bra 2.0 £50

Girlfriend Collective

Pictured on the right are Girlfriend Collective’s #1 best selling leggings and bra. Both are made from recycled water bottles. Once you are done with your Girlfriend Collective pieces, just mail them back to the company and get a $15 credit.

Compressive High-Rise Legging $78

Paloma Racerback Bra $46

My Top Activewear Brand

Lululemon

Lululemon is my favourite activewear brand ever. The pieces are pricy but they last for years and years. My favourite sports bra and leggings have been discontinued because I purchased them so long ago, but featured on the left are similar options. The perfect long sleeve for running in the spring weather is the Swiftly Tech and is worth the high price tag.

Base Pace High-Rise Tight 28″ $98

Swiftly Tech Long Sleeve Shirt 2.0 $78

Energy Bra $52

Popular Activewear Brands

Since Sweaty Betty’s sale was what inspired this blog post, I feel it is only right to highlight the brand in this post. Additional activewear brands that are popular on the market include Set Active, Alo Yoga, Athleta, FP Movement, and Nike.

Happy spring workouts!
