Spring is Here! Top 3 Women’s Sunglasses For 2022

Spring has officially arrived in London! The sun is shining every day, and it feels like the whole city is coming alive. With the sun out to play, people are dusting off their sunglasses or heading to the shops to pick up a new pair for the season.

Every year it seems like fashion websites predict crazy sunglasses with big frames or colourful lenses will be trendy. And every year these sunglasses are spotted on social media or on holiday, but the majority of people typically stick with classic colours and frames. Over the past week, I observed women’s sunglasses on the street and found that the majority of women wore black rectangular sunglasses.

SL 276 MICA

The most popular sunglasses of the season seem to be the Saint Laurent 276 MICA black sunglasses. This classic pair of cat-eye sunglasses have been spotted on celebrities such as Hailey Beiber and Madison Beer.

I love the magenta option too, but I only ever see people wearing the black pair. If you are going to invest in a pair of designer sunglasses I totally understand the gravitation towards the classic black option. There are many cheaper options for these sunglasses on the market and I believe they will continue to be very popular this spring and summer. Besides the brand name, there is really nothing special about these sunglasses.

Celine Triomphe 01

These Celine oval sunglasses are another pair of sunglasses that have been popping up all over social media. Oval sunglasses are a perfect blend of rectangular and circular shaped frames. If you want a softer looking pair of sunglasses but do not want the bug-eye look that circular sunglasses sometimes have, opt for oval frames. Classic black is elegant and will always be in style.

Le Specs Unreal!

Le Specs are popular mid-range sunglass brand. Le Specs are more affordable than designer sunglasses and some styles offer polarized lenses. Soft-rectangle sunglasses are poised to be one of the top sunglass trends for spring/summer 2022. These black, soft-rectangle sunglasses are on Le Specs’s best sellers list. Le Specs allows customers to virtually “try on” its sunglasses, but nothing beats trying on the physical sunglasses in person.
