What’s New at Reformation + Spring Outfit Inspiration

Are Reformation stores better in the UK than in the US? Yes. I have always been intimated by the store model/layout in the US. In the US, Reformation stores only display one sample piece of each clothing item and you have to ask the store associates for a specific size if you want to try something on. I remember when the Reformation store opened in Washington, DC and it was a revolutionary idea to only have a few samples on the shop floor. Traditionally, if you walk into a high-street brand like Reformation, you will see a store filled with clothing and will see multiple sizes at once. On the other hand, if you walk into a luxury brand, you are more likely to see empty spaces with a select few items on display. Only displaying one example piece on the floor makes shopping at Reformation feel intimidating rather than a fun, casual experience. Last year, a Reformation store opened a short walk away from my London apartment, so I went to go check it out. The store model was completely different from the US store model, and immediately the store felt more inviting. In the front of the store, there is a small, curated vintage section. In the back of the store, there are multiple sizes of Reformation’s own-label items on display. The shopping experience was pleasant and made me want to give Reformation clothing a second chance. Reformation reminds me a lot of the Canadian brand, Aritzia. I love the pieces but hate the prices!

Spring is in the air and with it comes spring clothing! Reformation’s strong suit is their spring and summer clothing, so it’s the perfect time to take a look at what’s new at Reformation.
