This is the Best Way to Shop Black Friday Deals From a Fashion Student

Black Friday is almost here! This year it felt like Black Friday was a whole season in itself, and I am so ready to stop hearing the words ‘Black Friday’. I am not a shopaholic and will not be shopping until I drop but I do love a good deal. This year, many retailers are struggling and subsequently will be pushing Black Friday sales as a last-ditch attempt to increase turnover and get rid of old stock before the new year. If you want to purchase something it’s a great idea to wait until Black Friday to see if there is a deal on what you were already going to purchase. Everything always goes on sale, and you should never pay full price for something from a high-street retailer! If you are looking to shop on Black Friday and prevent buyer’s remorse from purchasing something cheap just because it was on sale, this blog post will share brands and deals to watch this year.

Where to Shop If You Want to Treat Yourself to Good Quality Clothing

Maje

Maje is a premium brand that offers a great Black Friday discount. Currently, Maje offers up to 40% off most products and if you purchase two Maje products you get an extra 10% off. Pictured above are two items I would purchase from the Maje sale. The metallic leather mini skirt is stunning and can be worn to any winter party. Yes, the model can barely walk in this skirt, but it’s 100% leather and is currently 30% off. The skirt is currently £209.30 down from £299. The Chelsea Platform Boots are also 30% off and are 100% leather. I love the shiny metal strip that makes these boots stand out from others on the market. The boots are currently £300.30 down from £429. If you purchase these two items then you would get an additional 10% off your total purchase.

Net-a-Porter

Net-a-Porter is very hit-or-miss. If you have had your eye on a few products and they are part of the sale then it is a great time to buy them. With that being said, most of the sale items are clearly a last-ditch attempt by Net-a-Porter to get rid of them. Many items are very odd colours and styles and have been on sale since May. I browsed the sale section and honestly didn’t like any of the products there. If I had to buy something from the sale, I would check out the matching set from Alexander Wang, bootcut pants from Alice + Olivia, and one-shoulder dress from Reformation. On Black Friday, Net-a-Porter is offering up to 50% off certain products.

Where to Shop If You Want a Good Old Fast Fashion Black Friday Deal

Mango

Mango is a great store to shop at if you are looking for classic, cheap Black Friday deals. Mango is a fast fashion brand that has sophisticated-looking clothing. Mango has an older target customer than most fast fashion retailers so it generally offers nicer clothing and is a great store for women in their 20s who want to elevate their style after university. Mango is currently offering 50% off most things on their website which is great for fashionistas on a budget.

Where to Shop If You Want Discounted High-Quality Jewellery

If you are looking for high quality jewellery on sale, check out Monica Vinader, Daisy London, or Astrid & Miyu. Monica Vinader is offering 30% everything. Daisy London is offering 20% off everything. Astrid & Miyu are offering 25% off everything. All three of these stores sell very high quality jewellery that is made to last and won’t break your budget.

Don’t Forget About the Essentials!

It is very easy to get overwhelmed on Black Friday and end up buying too many things or later regretting what you bought. It’s easy to forget about the fashion essentials, but you will never regret buying them on sale!! Don’t forget about socks and underwear which are the underdog of Black Friday. Buying new socks and underwear often doesn’t come to mind when you think about Black Friday deals, but this is a great time to stock up on essentials. My favourite stores are Intimissimi, Bluebella, Darn Tough, and Victoria’s Secret.

Happy Black Friday! XO, Alicia
